I took it upon myself today to ban the member know as Beadhead.

This member offered nothing to our forum and all his/her posts seemed to do was stir up the forum which I found unhelpful.

I hope I havent annoyed anyone by this action  Laughing  Laughing  Laughing

Not sure about this. I am actually totally against people being banned. Beadhead started on this forum on a very bad note but I believe that his behaviour was challenged properly. He appeared to vanish for a long time as opposed to apologising, explaining his posts, retracting his comments and carrying on with the rest of us and enjoying the forum. That was very much his choice.

He has recently reappeared with, as Admin rightly states, posts that were unconstructive and unhelpful. I wonder why he behaved in this way. Although, as I said previously, I am not happy with this sort of action, Admin has the right to choose the standard of behaviour on this forum, and the make up of it's membership.

Mixed feelings from myself, Iwould much have prefered Beadhead to apologise and join us properly. However judging on his previous posts I do not think I will miss him. Overall a sad situation for all of us.

Fossil thanks for the post and as I say I am sorry if this course of action may appear heavy handed but basically I didnt feel as if the member was ever gona apologise or even move his contribution to this forum to a level that could be seen as constructive. Every member has the right to post on the forum but I honestly think that the members posts only tried to stir things up. I looked through all the posts that the said member contributed to and I found 1 positive post from 12 that the member had put on here.

They had been warned in previous posts and in private PM's from myself and other admin members, and unfortunatley they chose to stay on the road that they were on.

I feel that this forum is very relaxed and we can all have a laugh with each other and in no way will it ever be run with a heavy hand or Iron fist.

Again I apologise for this course of action.

Admin - Just a thought - but now we have some younger forum members
(and hopefully many more) Should we not abandon the Anonymity of usernames and be known by our given names with some sort of verification i.e. registered e-Mail addresses?
Anyone else have any ideas on the subject!

Blackback I also changed the settings on here now so there is a code etc that needs to be verified before an account gets set up. I have also made it that only admin can activate accounts from now on.

Due to members feeling uneasy at certain members activity I have banned a user from the site. The user was trying to dirupt the harmony within and it will not be tolerated.
