As requested by Tack4.

Guys this is my first ever step by step so forgive the dodgy camera work etc I'll try to explain everything as I go but if i have missed something then let me know.
I wont bore you with tying in the thread as theres 21 pics to put up lol.

Step 1 Tie in your thread and secure. Take a pinch of Golden phesant crest and tie in as a tail. Big Jackie told me to have the second band of black level with the hook bend.

Tie in your rib. I have used UTC coloured wire here. You will notice that i tie everything in at the same spot on the hook the simple reason i do this is to give a uniform shape to my fly

This is where i now split my thread. Your thread must lay flat on your hook as some threads are pretwisted. To over come this simply let your bobbin holder hang and the thread should start to unravel, then simply give it a little help and your thread should lay flat

Pick your dubbing and simply place it between the 2 pieces of your thread.

Pinch the thread just below your dubbing

pull the thread and dubbing out from the hook holding it horizontal. Your bobbin holder should be hanging down now prob an inch or 2. Simply twist your bobbin holder, keep twisting, every now and then loosen your pinch of the thread and you should see your dubbing twist a little, keep twisting peeps. When you feel the thread getting too tight then stop you dont want it to break. Let go of the thread completely now and the dubbing should be twisted into a dubbed rope.

Now simply wind it up towards the eye of the hook.

Tie in a hackle, here i have used a sunburst hackle.

Make 2 turns of the hackle at the front of the dubbing

Then wind the hackle down the hook in nice even turns

Going in the opposite direction of the hackle wind your rib up thru your hackle in open turns. You dont it spaced closely so space it out.

Get an old pair of scissors and trim your rib. Dont ever use your good scissors to trim this as they get ruined.

Tie in your front hackle now I have used the Kingfisher blue.

If you can pull your thread back out of the way towards the back of the hook.

One turn of your front hackle

Stroke all the fibres back toards the back of the hook

While holding everything back make another turn of the hackle. Do these steps for another few turns

It should look something like this, never worry if it looks ragged it aint finished

Tie in the front hackle and trim the remaining feather

Wet your index finger and thumb and again stroke everything back. Do another few turns of thread. Your bumble is finished altho i decided to tie in an orange goose biot to each side of the head.

And voila the finished fly

Sorry bout the pics il improve as i go. I hope i have explained everything but as i said if you dont understand anything let me know.
The beauty of these flies is there are no set rules lads, pick your dubbing any colour and away you go. Practise makes perfect so if your first attempts dont look the part strip the hook and start over again.

super stuff mate very well explained indeed,,,you obviously put a lot of work into that all credit to you and a great wee pattern,love that kingfisher Adrian it look the business,,i`ll be tying a few of those myself once i get the hang of doing the dubbing like that.....

never worry about the camera work as im having the same sort of problems too its all trial and error but the main thing is showing everybody how the fly is tied which you`ve explained in great detail,well done mate
