A few old reports from earlier in the year to add some content to the forum

Kayak(s): OK Big Game

Duration:10.30-18.00

Tide: lw @ 13:00

Weather: not what was forecast ..

Bait: b0ogie flies

Rigs: n/a

Results: 20 odd pollock 3-9lb

Report: with light winds forecast I drove to my Co Down pollock mark
the wind wasnt as light as it was supposed to be, and the sea looked quite lumpy  .no matter .I launched anyway and paddled to the mark ..

I was fishing in 34 feet of water , so a count of 30 was necessary to allow the fly to hit the deck , before stripping

1st fish was the best fish of the day, a tad over 9lb . Had to use the net to get him in Very Happy

The excellent sport continued until lw .. then died , So I paddled into shore and made some grub,... had a smoke or too and headed out again

Hi

I use a Greys platinum saltwater xs 9# 9'

Partridge S Series 9-10 reel

Rio striped bass line 9# int  for most of my fishing .. unless im using surface poppers . which require a floater

but the best bit about it is ye get to chuck huge flies like these Very Happy

chuck and duck Very Happy

the Kayak is an ocean kayaks big game ... setup including dry suit etc circa 1k

Andy

Great report Andy,  Cool

I would also be interested in the tackle and tactics for swff.
