Great report Harry, sounds like a great days fishing.
Sorry, but can you expand a little on the flies. Like the sound of whatever that hare's ear thingy is.
As for price, I am sure that both Straid and Woodford charge less for a half day or evening ticket. _________________ "The world and the universe is an extremely beautiful place, and the more we understand about it the more beautiful does it appear."

The reason for me never fishing Craigmore again is that about 6 years ago I took my first bout of angina and high blood pressure. I went to Craigmore and I paid my £20 for my fishing I think back then I took a 5 fish ticket. I walked round the far side of the lake and I took pains in my chest and really didnt feel well. I maybe had 2 casts before the pain got so bad that I had to pack up and head home. On the way round I explained to Darren that I was unwell but would return the next week all being well. The next week I went to fish and only wanted a C+R ticket and he charged me the full whack for the day. I also had a friend come to join me that day and Darren said and I quote " I love this guy £20 every week and he cant fish". If somewhere is that hard up for money then Il never grace it again. I havent fished Craigmore in that 6 years and Il never fish it again.
