Hi All
i had a 5 hour session at Tildarg today fishing from 2pm until 7pm
weather was bright with a nice but cool breeze,, before i went afloat i had a good look around to see if there were any fish high in the water and indeed there was but very sporadic rises,, i set up two rods, first was a Scierra HM 2 10ft for a 7 wt and an intermediate line,,next was my fav Greenheart 9,6 with a 7 wt floater,,
i had decide to give the Lures a miss for the day and concentrate on fishing with Buzzers, various nymphs, crunchers, and snatchers to name but a few,,
after my 4th or 5th cast i was into a very nice fish on the 10ft rod intermediate line (which took the cruncher) and after 5 minutes or so he was safely in the net and quickly back to the water,,it took a while longer until i landed my next fish (a little smaller but still a great fight) which again took the cruncher,,as the day wore on i switched between the intermediate and floating set up and by 6pm i had a bag of 7 fish,,not bad considering it was getting quite cold as the sun started to slowly dip on the horizon..
the last half an hour i decide to fish with the Floating line set up and had two great pulls before i landed my final fish on a green epoxy buzzer with Fluro Red cheeks hmmmm not a bad tally for the day with 8 fish in total so i decided to call it a day and head for home....
a few pic`s of the day
my first fish
i wasn`t the only one catching, this guy had around a dozen on a wet Daddy
here are a few of the Flies that i`d been using throughout the day
Regards
