Andy,

Great result. Those are beautiful places to fish if you can get away from the idiots, litter and poachers. I know last year that the middle was disgraceful. Litter, broken bottles and the remains of fires and burnt rubbish everywhere. I have not seen a balif in at least five years. The middle is supposed to be fly only, but this seems to be generaly ignored. The top dam is certainly a nice place, but not immune, there was guys camping and bait fishing there last year.

It is good to see it fishing well and looking so good. Your photographs are excellent and really catch the atmosphere very well. An excellent report.

This unfortunatley seems to be the norm at any DCAL waters i've fished this year FF. Sad

Thanks

Litter ... theres a lot of it about , not so bad at the top dam  I can't understand why people wont take their rubbish home with them ,  Mind you I dont think there are any bins about the place, not thats its any excuse to litter

Idiots .. plenty of them about , usually at the weekends tho ,

Dog walkers is another gripe of mine , I take my dog with me most of the time , while walking to the fishing mark.I keep her on a lead, when im fishing i let her off the lead and she stays at my side ,rarely strays more than a few yards from me , unless somebody comes over for a natter , then she goes mental in a friendly way

twice last night I had dogs bouncing all over my fishing bag, net, etc  while their owners tried to get the hold of them , can you imagine the outrage there'd be if a dog got a bloody hook in it ? be all my fault of course , not the damn owner who cant control his/her dog

Last year I had to lay the boot into one who went for my dog ,  I dunno what breed it was but it was a feckin nasty looking thing , not even an apology was forthcoming from its owner. I pay DCAL to fish those waters,  do the dog walkers pay to walk their dogs ?

Got into an argument wih a female dog walker at the North a couple of years ago. Pointed out the fact that dogs were not allowed and that I paid money to be here. She pointed out the litter, some of it obviously angling related, and stated that her dog left no such mess. Argument was lost there and then.
