from what i have read this seems to be one of the best all round SWFF flies going and paln to tie a shed load for an assault on the tasty bass around my shores
hook size 2 mustad BLN 3261
thread 6/0 chartuse
eyes dumbell eyed lead
white and chartruse bucktail
multi crystal flash accent
1 place hook in vice and run on a thread about a 1/4 along hook
2 secure dumbell eyes using figure of 8 wrap
3 invert hook and tie on white bucktail (more is more to aid boyuancy)
4 turn hook back over and tie in multi flash
5 then chartruse bucktail and form head
6 tie off and varnish
7 the finished killer clouser
quick to tie simple and effective the world over
comments welcome thanks T4

Tack
Maybe go a bit sparser on the bt and use the hair from the top of the tail, its softer and finer ? the clouser is meant to be fished on the bottom, bouncing it along and letting it kick up puffs of sand
Move the eyes back a wee bit ? allows a better finish on the head
if you fishing for bass i'd go up a few sizes on the hook and a shorter shank , the gamakatsu sc15's are ideal, although a bit expensive,
Theres a material called dna holofusion works very well on clousers available from Austen @ uksaltwaterflies

Another one of those patterns that looks as if it would be as effective for pike as for salt water species.
