Ballykeelwas at Ballykeel ministry dam yesterday fly fishing for the pike caught two one 2lb and the other 4 lost a few fish aswell and had loads of follow one about 14lb followed me in and the sun was behind me and it swam away as soon as it seen my shawdow on the water was ragin still havnt caught a double lol  my dad was fishing for the trout and he caught a nice wee brown on a buzzer i got my fish on an orange bunny bug

That is really interesting. Ballykeel has always had a reputation for good pike. I have caught a lot of pike over the years, but never on a fly rod.

aye its brilliant on the fly rod i just use a ten weight saltwater rob with intermediate line and the flies you use are really simple to tie i caught my first pike on the fly . ballykeel is fly fishing only but there seems to be a right few people fish for the pike on the fly one of my m8s got a 19lb pike last summer at it.
