Corbet

Just finished fishing Corbet lough, got there at about 3.00 and found the lake a lot higher than when I was last down. One particular fence was totally covered by water. Anyway I was out in the boat all day and tried every method possible at every depth possible without getting a single touch, it was really windy but usually I find that to help with buzzers etc. When I spoke to the bloke in the clubhouse he said that noone had been catching all day and it had been like that for the last couple of weeks, he said there was a competition there yesterday and a total of 6 fish were caught all day. last time I was down it was a lot easier to catch, especially with the evening rise, there are a lot of fish in it but its hard to work out what they are feeding on? or why they just arent playing ball. Any ideas?
Ive got a feeling they were feeding on something on or near the bottom.

Could be the time of year Syd. I know Woodford has been more difficult of late. I can remember August being a poor month no matter what sort of fishing I was doing. Things always improved in September, one of my favorite times to be fishing.

The Dog Dys have traditionally been a hard time for fishing.
