Felt Soled Wading BootsI recently got a pair of chesties and wading boots with felt soles. I bought studs today but was wondering what the best configuration for screwing them in would be eg. 10 in each heel with 10 towards each toe. All advice appreciated.

I don't much fancy going on my arse or worse, slipping landing on my rod.

i usualy have a net stuck to my back, so a slip is usualy followed by the net cracking me on the back of the head. I'm very cautious now, too many falls for my own good

Let me know how u get on with the studs, i've been threatening to get them for a while. As for advice on how to sort them, can't help u there beatnik, sorry.

if you had about a dozen in each boot they sould do the job and keep a few for wen they get losed cos they always fall out

Beatnik69 on my wading boots i put 9 on the sole & 6 on heel all about 1" apart i found this was plenty. The best way to put them in is get a small socket that fits the head of the stud & also fits into a power drill cause that felts tougher than it looks.
