First of 2008

First day fishing this year. Got a 4 hour C&R ticket for Woodford. Weather was bad, but not as bad as was forecast. Wind was perfectly manageable, even for my casting, and although the rain was very heavy it stayed fairly mild. With one or the regulars, Stevie, we had the place to ourselves. We both caught well, I ended the day with 5 fish. 3 came to a white bead head tadploe, one to a white spider and one to a black tadpole with a pink head. Had another fish throw the hook on the black tadpole. All the fish came fairly deep on my slime line with a slow figure of 8 retrieve.

Good to hear Fossil

yer a brave man going out in that sort of weather but it payed dividends for you,,,but as we`ve said before, some of the best fishing can be had during the winter months if you`re prepared to brave the elements,,a good start to 2008 more of the same mate eh

Very pleased Darren. Felt like those nice people at Greys made a rod just for me. I have put a review in the tackle section.
