An excellent day, and thats from a man who managed to blank.  Embarassed

I had my chances, but if it wasn't for bad luck I would have no luck at all. Crying or Very sad

There is no doubt that out of all the places I have fished, be it coarse, carp, pike or trout, Movilla must be one of the most beautiful stillwater fisheries I have ever visited. It seemed to be a difficult days fishing for most of the visitors, so those who did catch a few done very well. Well done.

Anyway a great day out with the usual suspects and some new faces.

Yes, an excellent day and good to see a great turnout from the forum.

I managed to catch 3 fish over the day, small lures in the morning and on drys in the afternoon when the weather picked up. My dad and son, who I brought along for the craic, managed a fish each in sometimes difficult conditions. Cool

With the BBQ at lunchtime (in the rain) which Syd missed out on, the day was a great success with most anglers catching fish.

Thanks to Davy for arranging the day and to Darren for the caps etc. And thanks to all the forum members for making the effort and making the day very enjoyable outing. Cool Roll on the next one.

Sorry I couldnt stay longer but Mark HAD to leave early due to something in the family. Seeing as I paid for his fishing it was the most expensive 3 casts ive ever had. Mark explained to the guy in the hut that we had to go and basically the reply was Tough Mate. If that had happened up with me Id at least have offered another days fishing if not a partial refund. But then maybe I was too soft in business...

Movilla is a nice wee fishery but the prices are fecking pathetic. £14 for catch and release (14 fish) or £16 for a 1 fish ticket then catch and release.

Altho I liked the look of the place I wont be returning due to these factors.

Agree about the price Adrian. My two fish ticket (what was I thinking???) coat me £19, much more expensive than Straid or Woodford.  That and the distance from home would limit any visits from me, but it was a spectacularly beautiful fishery. I certainly would return to fish another day, just not regularly.

First post, glad to have met you all, hope to fish with everyone again.  Seen a few face,s I already knew, but met some new fisher,s , which is alway,s a good thing. Five for the day, with two over 3 lb. Alway,s has been an excellent fishery, but if Moorbrook is as good as I have heard, then I am game. Jeez Harry, you got your money,s worth, any longer and you would have been getting charged ground rent.
