insomnia fly tying

Hi All

to much Tea and Coffee = to much caffine = tying late at night LOL,,i`ve simply had to much time on my hands however its given me a chance to replace some of the flies i`ve left in a few fish over the season and also knock up a few dfferent patterns...

here is one of them that you might like to try out,, to me it Could suggest Sedge,Green Peter,Wet Hares Ear or even Alder Fly,im confident this will work on the business end......

hook: kamazan B175 size 12
thread: black UNI 8.0
rib: gold wire or oval gold tinsel
tail: brown partridge
body: hares ear (dubbed)
body hackle: red game cock (palmered)
wing: oak turkey (matching paired slips)
head hackle: red game cock

now before the eagle eyed lads start screaming "sedge dont have tails"  Shocked
i know that lol  as i said i tied it purely as a "suggestive pattern"

Regards
