Killylanewas at killylane there for 4 hours from 4 to 8 caught 15 on a bibio and octopus flie lost loads and was getting lots of pulls everyone there seemed to be catching

Good job Harry, well done. Killylane seems to be one of the better DCAL waters. I think the fact that it is fly only helps. According to their website it was stocked last week (30/4/2008)

Was at killylane to day, had about 20 fish mostly on a green and white fritz, most of the boys fishing traditional wets were gettin a couple but none of them doing any big tricks, once the fog cleared the fresh fish started to get scarce so i changed to drys as there were plenty of trout rising but most of the rising fish were old fish and looked more like eels than trout

wading just pushes the fish further out into the middle of the dam

well ive always had more sucess wadeing, and i haven't seen anybody gettin any number of trout from the bank altho i have caught them practicaly under the tip of the rod with dries but big casts and wadeing deep always done the job for me
