Which neck feather is better for the goats toe? the blue neck feather or the green neck feather?

i think its personal choice troutbane, as far as i remember its traditionally blue but i think the grean wud add sumthin new,
if im wrong im sure some1 will correct me lol

Just checked my Sotheby's guide. According to Mr Jardine, blue. He includes it in his flies from Scotland section but concides that it is as likely to be of Irish origin. He goes on to say that it can also be succesful for salmon in lochs. (I suppose he should include loughs also).

Believe it or not Its actually a very good fly on Lough Erne and tied with a peach glo bright tail and rib works well on Melvin but for the life of me I couldn't remember what neck feather
