also a good salmon fly and the very famous Teal Blue and Silver on the
right,,,i wouldn`t be without the Teal Blue & Silver anywhere mate

sea trout fliesTak
A tialled medicine on a size 7 silver Salar worked for me each night on the white water.
Tail flourescent yellow tippets
body silver lurex
rib silver wire
hackle king fisher blue fully wound
wing Bronze mallard folded three times
head glo bright red
This is a great pattern just when coming off a flood, cast about 70/80o at the head of a pool and the same at the tail of a pool.
You do not have to strike the fish just lift into it as the salar hook will bed itself good and proper.
another good one for the nightime is a white moth tied with white cdc and stripped across the surface, but be prepared for a fright when the fish take

Tack I think the salar is a double but I stand to be corrected if Im wrong.

tyingAdriany you are correct it is a double.
THepicture is about right the hackle reaches the point of the hook and there is a flourescent tippet tail.
If i am correct and it the White water you are talking about you can go to a size 7 Salar in the evening, and the best pools to use this fly is Hunters 1and copelands.
If you fish the Ladies pool,Tommies or Hunters 2 drop down to a size 9.
I have found the best time to use the flies is after 10.00 at night
I will see if i can get Fiery Brown to put the photo on when i take it.
