Sinking LinesHi Guys
I lost a corker of a rainbow on Annagh Lake (Buttlersbridge Co Monaghan) last night. It took one of them buzzer mk 2 buzzers in one of last months mags. It was a dead weight for the strike and about 2 pulls then went bloody ballistic! stripped all the line from the floor of the boat including the 2 tangles which I couldnt free and which were not there 2 bloody mins ago.
Is there any way to stop this from happening again the line was a sixth sense sweep line, (HI D)
I have only really started working with different sinking lines this year besides the usual intermediates.
Cheers

Troutsbane,
I got this tip from spending a few hours on a boat with Campbell Baird, so will take no credit. When fishing with sinking lines always shoot absolutely all the line that you can. In other words cast slightly shorter than you can and have the line tighten to the reel at the end of every cast. The tension and the pull back at the end of the cast will keep the tangles from forming. It also means that there is less line lying in the boat to begin with.

i'm starting to really think about getting a stripping basket, getting fed up of the line getting caught on vegetation and more likely my feet. It would probably stop it getting stuck on boat bits, oars, cleats and my feet again. The ones with the spikes in them say they also stop the tangles
