SnipeHi guys
Where abouts on the snipe skin do you get the hackles for the small river spiders?????.(snipe and purple and such) Whatever about lake flies I am a complete novice at river stuff

Charles Jardine describes the dressing as a breast feather.
I also believe similar hackles can be taken from starlings. With the hackle being so soft any part of the body that produces a feather of the right size and colour would probably do.
