STRAID Nov18thHi All
fished straid from 1pm til 4.30,, it was pleasent enough with a north wind,,plenty of fish being caught in the main lake, i saw 1 guy hook and net 5 fish from a boat,,,and bank anglers were also having good success, 1 angler had 3 fish for over 9lb on a white lure and it seemed lures were pretty much the order of the day,,pity i found this out tooooooo late lol,,
i was fishing with naturals for the few hours that i was there and had 2 lovely rainbows on the fly i have posted on the TEST DRIVE FLY thread, my third was a nice brownie just over half lb on a claret snatcher style fly that i had tied up last night...
all in all it fished pretty well for most anglers considering the weather was starting to get a little colder with the wind and rain picking up as the day was drawing to a close....what was surprising was the amount of fish i spotted on the top of the water,, not in vast numbers but certainly enough to keep my interest up and change to dries,, 1 angler told me he two fish on dries as i spoke to him before he left
highlight of the day..........THE TEST DRIVE fly worked
downside of the day......... Adrian locking the gates
