the good n the bad in jockland

was out today at club water

the bad first

carefully set up my daiwa wilderness 9'6" 3 piece 7wt

first cast it became a 4 piece Surprised  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad  Crying or Very sad


luckily had a greys 9'6" 2piece 7-8wt so re set and third cast resulted in a great fight with a 3lb+ fully finned rainbow taken on a shipmans Cool  Cool

result.......



one more fish of just under 2 1/2 lb then no more res has been fishing really hard with the east wind for last two weeks and river desperately needs rain to trigger sea trout and salmon to venture from the sea

That is one beautiful looking rainbow trout. That is some tail.

I see you have been sharing our weather, east winds and sunshine. Hopefully that will change soon.

I t reminds me of that all saying, "When the wind is in the east, the fish bite someones else's fly more than mine."
