fished again tonite for a couple of hours, the water was a bit higher than i would have liked for nite fishing so we to make do with day light hours, i let colin fish the pool first but it was wasted on him (not a pull), i started to fish the pool behind him and got a good pull second cast and hooked and landed a dollie by my fourth cast, another two pulls going down the pool but pulls were all they amounted to, the next run down the pool i landed another dollie of about 1 1/2 lb and colin hooked and lost a couple of fish at the tail of the pool, should b a good height for night fishing over the weekend and should fish better

Went out last night to moorfields carry, water conditions where slightly high but clear, so decided to wait to dark before fishing, as conditions looked good with cloudy skies. I managed to land 6 nice dollaghan ranging from 1lb 4oz to 2lb, all on a mixture of wets, including stoat and silver, kingfisher butcher and dunkeld. If there is no more rain the kells will definitly fish well tonite.

fished the kells 2nte for the first time in a couple of weeks as its not been fishin well, the water waswell up and pretty coloured so the fly's were out of the question so out came the spinning rod, i landed 2 dollies at 1 1/2lb and lost anoher 5 on a yellow flyin c wit a gold blade and managed to hook and loose a salmon on a black and silver flyin c, very few fish moving but the water's in good order and should b till the weekend so i would expect a good run of fish and with a bit of luck i'll fall in wit a few more dollies cos ive had a pretty poor season so far

Good report from the Kells mick

i would`ve thought it was fishing a bit better than this due to the amount of rain we`ve had over the last load of weeks..
