No mention of it is on any of the other forums and it seems that the members on both those forums have not got any issues here, at least it doesn't state that in any posts I have trawled through. As an outsider who has no history of the situation or any members it seems to me that some on here have issues and very big issues with the membership off those forums. It seems very silly that you should have these issues and so openly express them when the parties you have an issue with are not present or have a voice to reply.

Sorry that this has upset you Latte. You are quite right, these issues are silly and old news. BUT, and it is a big but, you asked the question, you got an answer as honest as people could make it. If you don't like the answer don't ask. What did you expect, an avoidance of the issue or a pretence that no one knew what you were talking about? Perhaps a failure to even acknowledge that these other forums exsist.
I hope perhaps that from what has been said that at least you understand enough and we can all forget about it and carry on with the forum.
AS for expressing opinions when others are not present. I actually have not discussed the details and have no reason to on an open forum. I have said nothing in any bad terms about any person and have tried to answer your questions in as general but honest way as possible. Others are free to have their opinion and express it if they please.
You say that there is no issues on these other forums. Have you raised these matters and posted these links on there and asked these same questions. If not perhaps you are judging us unfairly.
You have 30 years experience in fly fishing, I have less than one and a half, your input can only be an asset to any forum that you are on. As well as the other forums you have joined I hope that you will post and contribute fully to this one. Apart from this unfortunate start, it is good to have someone of your experience on board.
Perhaps that if we can agree that enough has been said on this subject to adequately answer the questions that you raised, we can leave this issue at that.
PS
It would be very good indeed to see you on Saturday. _________________ "The world and the universe is an extremely beautiful place, and the more we understand about it the more beautiful does it appear."

Why? Subjects were raised and discussed. Questions were asked and answered. No one told any lies or said anything offencive. No one has anything to hide. Why would admin lock this thread? If enough has been said on the matter the thread will end by itself. To those with no direct knowledge of the matters it will be as boring as watching paint dry. What is the problem? _________________ "The world and the universe is an extremely beautiful place, and the more we understand about it the more beautiful does it appear."

Disagreements happen, such is human nature. These disagreements can start over something very petty and escalate to full blown " forum wars " with users being banned , accusations being hurled from forum to forum, even virtual raids on rival forums. It happens
With the creation of discussion boards or forums , A new breed of user evolved , let me introduce you to the forum " Troll "

The content of a troll posting generally falls into one of several categories. It may consist of an apparently foolish contradiction of common knowledge, a deliberately offensive insult to the readers of a newsgroup or mailing list, or a broad request for trivial follow-up postings. The result of such postings is frequently a flood of angry responses. In some cases, the follow-up messages posted in response to a troll can constitute a large fraction of the contents of a newsgroup or mailing list for as long as several weeks. These messages are transmitted around the world to thousands of computers, wasting network resources and costing money for people who pay to download email or receive Usenet news. Troll threads also frustrate people who are trying to carry on substantive discussions.

I am not sure he is a troll. He might just be genuinely curious. If he is a troll it makes you wonder how somebody can be so sad and have so little else in their lives. I do hope you are wrong.
