Hi All
most successful fly for me has undoubtly been the Hares Ear CDC it has taken quite literally Bags of fish from early season right up to the present

have to agree with firey n fossil fish cdc hares ear with orange butt form sizes 14- 20 have done the buisness
a big part of this fly's success is its simplicity, fishability and the hooks i now use are as per fossil fish
specimen chub hooks (short shanked make em smalller n deadly) last far longer than ordinary fine wire hooks
i had 10 fish today at a local scottish water 9 falling to the same size 20 cdc orange butt fly
a good press in a paper towel (kitchen roll) between fish and its as good as new (almost bit rougher but that makes it fish better)
so when tying and i feel a SBS comin here remember remeber rough it up!
